For professionals
What Talent Visa Journey gives lawyers and regulated immigration advisers, the money rules in plain words, and what stays with you.
What this is for a professional
Talent Visa Journey keeps information, community and preparation free for candidates. For professionals it is infrastructure, not a competitor: it lowers what it costs you to be found by the right candidate and to do the work once you are hired.
Candidates arrive having read the public rules and prepared their documents. The requests you receive are narrower and better prepared than a cold first message.
What you get
- A verified profile
- A reviewer checks your entry on the public register. Your profile then shows the register, your registration number, your scope and that you are in good standing, and nothing else about quality. See the verification methodology.
- Services at a price you set
- You publish narrow pieces of work, such as a general consultation or an evidence review, each with its own written scope, total price, turnaround and languages. You decide the scope and the price. The platform only refuses a service your authorisation does not cover.
- Requests that match your scope
- A candidate chooses the kind of help they need, their country and route, and sees the professionals whose authorisation covers it. Nobody is ranked by price or activity: the order changes daily and is the same for everyone.
- Referrals between professionals
- If a request is outside your scope, or you lack capacity, you can refer the candidate to another listed professional. The candidate must accept first; only then does the second professional see anything. No fee is recorded or allowed on a referral.
- Practice tools
- Accepting a request opens a matter with a document checklist for that kind of service. The candidate shares documents item by item through the encrypted vault, and you see what is missing. You can export the matter, with your own notes and a list of the document versions shared (never their contents), for your own record keeping.
Money
- Listing professionals here is free now.
- Talent Visa Journey never takes a commission, a fee per request, a fee per booking or a share of what a candidate pays you. This will not change.
- Nobody can pay for a better position. The order is the same for every professional, changes daily and does not depend on money, on activity or on how many requests you get.
- The candidate pays you directly, in the way you agree with them. No client money passes through an account here, and Talent Visa Journey is not a party to the contract between you and the candidate.
What stays with you
- Your regulatory duties are yours: your client care letter, your record keeping, your scope of work and the terms of each engagement. The platform does not decide your contract or replace any of them.
- Each service shows the cooling-off sentence for distance contracts, and you confirm that it applies or write your own terms.
- If your authorisation narrows or lapses, the services above the new scope switch off at once and you are told. Requests already open stay answerable.
What you can offer
A service is offered only under an authorisation that covers it. Currently:
- Lawyers on the UK or US registers: every kind of service within the practice their register shows.
- UK immigration advisers on the Immigration Advice Authority register: a general consultation from Level 1; evidence reviews, letter reviews, full applications and reviews after a refusal from Level 2; appeals and tribunal work at Level 3.
- US accredited representatives: through their recognised organisation and within the scope of their accreditation.
An adviser is never listed or labelled as a lawyer. A request above your scope offers you a referral instead of acceptance.
What the platform does not do
- It gives no opinion on any person’s own case: not whether someone is eligible, not which route suits them, not whether their evidence is strong enough, not whether they will be approved. The platform, its assistant and its volunteers explain public rules, help organise documents, share their own experience and point to a professional. The opinion on a case stays with an authorised person.
- It shows facts only on a profile: register, number, scope, good standing. No ratings, no figures about past results and no ranking of quality.
- It does not take a client’s files out of their own control: a candidate shares a document with you, item by item, and can stop sharing.
Joining
You apply inside the app. Choose who you are joining as, then give the register, your registration number and the link to your register entry. Until a reviewer has checked the register you take part as a member, with no badge.
